It is 6 hours ahead of the time back home here. This is my first business trip to Guangzhou, China and I am impressed with what I have seen so far. How are things back home and how did your day go? The weather here is quite okay 27 degree. Yes I live in Geneva, Since I would be away for few weeks I have decided to give you some history about myself. I was born in Texas. My father being Half American- Half German (his father was from a small village north-east of Berlin) and my mother American My mother got married at a young age and had me when she was only 23 years old. When I was 4 yrs we moved to Minneapolis in the United States for a year and later to Florida where we lived until I was 14 years old. Both my parents were teachers (mom - high school math and dad history at the university). I loved my childhood dearly being in the United States, Going to an International School and having friends from all over the world. Unfortunately my parents marriage was never very stable my father had many affairs, My parents finally got divorced the day after I turned 18 years old and my father left without warning. The years that followed were difficult but luckily my grandparents (my mom's parents) helped us through and my mother and I became very close. While I tried to keep in touch with my father since the divorce. He remarried shortly thereafter and contact occurred less and less I did not like his wife nor did she like me. After a few years all contact was broken off which I think was for the best for both of us and I was able to move on. I can say that even though my parents divorce was painful, I was quite lucky because those experiences helped me to evolve into who I am today teaching me to appreciate life with its imperfections. Unfortunately my dad passed on some few years after my first degree. I got my degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, I went on to University of Essex and received a Masters Degree in Applied Technology and Business Administration. I got a job with a small Engineering firm at that time and decided to settle in. Things were not going too well at work then. That was a very difficult period in my life. I had to look inward for happiness and learned a lot of lessons the very hard way. I later quit my job after three and a half years of being static with little development of my personal potential. After few years of jumping from one job to the other in search of exposure, My big break finally came when I got a job with Boeing. That kick started my career and after a few years, I started handling key positions and establishing contacts. I quit my job with Boeing and later formed a partnership with a friend until late in 2006 when I decided to work independently. Since then I have been the CEO of my own company and I have handled various projects around the world. On the love front I got married to my wife after my Masters degree. We had a lot of wonderful moments together. We were married for 19 years but after her struggle with cancer she passed on in 2004. It was a difficult period for my Daughter and I. I have had two relationships after my wife passed on and to be honest with you I was looking for an exact replica of her so things did not just work out. I am over that now as I have learned that making comparisons with past relationships is not healthy for a relationship. We are all different people with different minds and characteristics. I have also learned that love is not by finding a perfect partner but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly, Accepting them for who they are. I do not live in the past and I have taken a decision to live in the NOW! TODAY is a gift that is why it is called PRESENT! While my job is important to me I am happy with my current state and could care less about material things. I am independent - neither Republican nor Democrat (although I vote mostly democrat) I do not pay too much attention to outer beauty what is important is the beauty in a person's heart, mind and soul. I like to view myself that way beautiful from the inside out. I believe that happiness is a decision one makes and while there have been many ups and downs, My decision has always been to be happy. I always try to find the light at the end of the tunnel or a window to open. Which is why I signed up for Elite Partner. I'm interested in many things including: history, humanity and world cultures. Nature is a healing and uplifting influence upon my spirit. I consider myself a practical individual but grounded in good values. Am not perfect but my sincere desire is to learn how to improve my imperfections. My decision to move to Europe came as a result of the changing bio-fuel environment among the EU nations. After handling a few projects in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany, I fell in love with the environment and after undergoing feasibility studies I decided to permanently relocate here. Locating my Company in Munich was due to legislation on bio-fuel usage in Germany. My Company has benefited both technically and economically from the incentives provided by the German Government to encourage the use of cleaner and more environmentally friendly energy. I am looking to establish a branch of my Company in Switzerland within the next few years. I approach life with a sense of openness to new experiences and adventures, Willing to try things previously. In this regard I have traveled extensively around the globe -Europe, Turkey, Japan, India, South America, Canada, South Pacific Islands, Caribbean Islands, Which gives value to time spent on this planet is continuously giving me new perspectives that are filled with exciting experiences and much spiritual and cultural enrichment. Hopefully this mail is not too 'deep' or too long for you. I want to be open and share with you who I am and what makes me. I would very much like to read from you again. I would try to keep in touch. Take good care of yourself and have a wonderful night. Kind regards Kelvin
