I have been responding to ads from Russia for a while. Recently, I decided to try a non-Russian site, and see how it goes.

A few weeks ago, this really pretty 28 years old dark bronzes skin woman from Jamaica responded to my profile. In her pics, she wear this sun dress that fits her body like a glove. Very attractive, with long dark hair.

At first, we exchanged a few short PM on the dating site. She seemed nice and all. She didn't seem to use a template or anything when writing to me, all the responses she wrote was "personal", related to what I wrote and she responded.

Then she suggested we talked over email, so I said okay, and we exchanged a few email. This is about a week after we first started talking.

All the while, she was really interested in me, even though she doesn't really know all that much about me, except what I do, some of my interests. She also asked about my past online relation history. I told her my past.
I just find it odd she liked me so much even though she know not much about me. Hardly any women in my past grew to like me so much, so fast.

One thing that jumps out is, her birthday listed in her profile was the same period we were talking, but she never mentioned it, and I never noticed it until it was passed a few days after. So when I wish her happy birthday, asked her if she has birthday cake, she said she didn't, because her father passed away. I find it just a little odd. But I don't want to make any conclusion just based on that.


Then she suggested we meet on instant messenger. She suggested Yahoo Messenger, but I told her I only have MSN. So I decided what the heck, I'd created a Yahoo ID, as I was a little suspicious already, but I really can't be sure.


When I told her I opened Yahoo ID just so we can talk, she was saying how it shows I am serious about her, and I was taken aback by it, because I wasn't that serious about her lol, and she seemed to me to be too intense for me even so early stage of an online relation.

So, we started talking on instant messenger, 1st day, for about 1.5 hours. I asked her about her family, she said she lives with her mother and uncle in Jamaica. Her father passed away.

It was a struggle for me to talk to her, because I have a hard time finding a topic that we can talk for long. At one point, she even asked me to say something, but my mind was drawing blank.

Then in the 2nd day, we met on messenger. We talked for about 4 mins, then she disappeared. She hasn't shown up online for the rest of the day.

In 3rd day (today), she emailed me, she said she was sorry she had to go offline so quick on 2nd day, because something triggered her memory and she thinks back to her now deceased father. She said her fathered passed away just 4 months ago. I said I am really sorry about that.

Then we talked. She asked me, she wanted to know if I am serious about her. I told her, we barely met, until we meet, I can't be sure of anything. So I cant' make any promise. She said okay.

Then she said how about if we meet? I told her I am busy with work, and that is my focus now, I only use dating site to talk to people, I didn't expect to meet someone who really liked me that much. And I can't say for sure when we can meet at all. She said fine.


Then she asked me a favor. She said, she needs money to buy flower for her father's
burial site. At that point, my red alert goes up inside me. I just told her, I dont' have much money, and sorry I can't help.
At that point, I was like, something is very wrong about this. I have seen plenty of big warning signs about women on dating site asking for money.

So, then I started to ask more inform about her. I want more inform about her at this point, i she is making things up, at some point she has to break. I asked her if she works, she said no, because she left Jamaica when she was 8, she lived in US for a while, now she moved back, she's not used to the culture. That is why she has no money. She claims she lives with her uncle and mother.

Then I asked her, which US state she went to, she did answered. Then I asked how long she was there. No response. After about 8 mins of non-response, she disappeared from our online chat.

I know this is a Russian focused site, but I hope I can ask this question still because I tried googled Jamaican scam, but there doesnt' seem to be a site for that. I was more on defense if she were from Russia, but since she wasn't, I tried keep an open mind. I just wonder if this is just a similar scam pulled from different countries. I have used Russian sites for a while, but I never saw anything like this (like I said women don't usually reply to an ordinary guy like me).

I just wonder if anyone thinks I am right to conclude she is a scam? Before she asked me for flower money, I just thought she was too intense for me. But when she asked me for money, I was just surprised.

Yeah we specialise in Russian and former Russian states.

It sounds to me like you have a scammer but they are not from Jamaica. The story you have told sounds like a Nigerian scam of some sort. This is a typical story - don't answer questions and make up stories as they go. She - probably a he ran out of money for the internet cafe they were using. If you can post more information like email headers, letters and photos I may be able to provide more advice.

There are other sites that specialise and you could have a look over there too. They will ask for the same details probably.

Thanks for the greeting. I'd be glad to hear what you think about this person that I met, as this is first time I run into anything like this.

And it's kind of weird now thinking back, I have been talking to a man! I mean we never have any kind of sexual talk at all, except she(he) called me sweetie once and said it'd be nice to spend time with me LoL.

I heard of Nigerian scams before, the fake generals' daughters or they need money now and will repay me, etc, but I never thought they'd be acting like this.

I think I'll try posting on the site you showed me too, but your site is my favorite (as I am used to Russian ads), so I post the inform here first.

We met last week on a dating site. After a few days, she/he suggested we exchanged real email address, so we did. We started online chat the past 3 days, and we have a total of 3 chat, one chat per day. Today was the 3rd chat, and last day as now I know.
