I didn’t reply sooner because, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting to hear back from you at all. I’d filled out a profile with a dating agency here, just looking for something spontaneous and new… and then a little while later, your message popped up!
Truth be told, I didn’t actually believe anyone would write to me. But your email totally made my day
So why did I reply?
I think I’m finally ready to make some changes in my life. I’ve been feeling a little bit lonely in this big old world lately, and if you’re still open to getting to know each other, I’d be really happy about that.
Anyway, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about myself in this letter:
My name is Mia.
I’m 39, though everyone says I look about 20.
I’m 5 foot 8 (that’s 172 cm), and weigh 132 lbs (60 kg).
I’ve never been married, and I don’t have children, but I absolutely adore them. If you have kids, that’s just lovely children really are the flowers of life!
I travel quite a lot for work. I’ve been lucky enough to visit so many countries: Saudi Arabia, Australia, America, Norway, France, Italy, Spain…
I was born in the UK and I currently live in Portsmouth.
My mum still lives in the UK too, but she’s about 237 miles away in Helston.
My dad passed away a few years ago from a heart attack I miss him terribly.
My job keeps me on the road quite a bit, but I try to get back home to see my mum and my friends about two or three times a year.
You know what they say you only have one or two real friends in life the rest are just acquaintances. Sadly, it’s true.
Right now I don’t have my laptop with me, so I’m typing this on my phone please forgive any typos!
I’ll check my emails again a bit later, but I do find it easier to chat here when I get a moment.
It works better for me to set aside a bit of time and write a proper email like this, rather than quick messages.
