Dear xxx,
Thank you for the quality time you devoted to read my e-mail and finding the time to send a quick response to me. I thank you for the personal details you have kindly enclosed. I sincerely look forward to working with you successfully in this legal project.
To begin with, I need to give you more information on my proposal and I am sure the following details shall explain what I want you and I to do together. I am also convinced you shall find answers to any question you may have regarding this project.
First, for your information, I work in the audit department of Bank of Scotland, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, but always visiting branches all over Scotland. I have a sick wife with two sons. My wife, Nadine has been battling cancer for over 4 years now. We live in a small home in Kilmarnock.
The total amount that we will apply for and successfully claim is £14,450,000.00 (Fourteen Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds). It is this amount that you and I will share equally with each of us getting over £7,000,000 (Seven Million Pounds).
It was in one of my audit visits at our head office that I came across this account opened by one Mr. Alexander Scheuert in 2010 with the above mentioned deposited sum. I also discovered that the said account owner died in a lone car crash with his wife on the 22nd day of August, 2011, while on vacation in Zaragoza. Futile efforts were made to locate any member of his extended family. As you can see both of you share the same surname.
I am sure you now understand why I have selected you to work with me to enable me present you as the next-of-kin. This is the only way you and I can work together for the transfer of the said sum plus interest to your bank. Right now, the money belongs to no one since the original owner is dead. If we do not claim it now, it will be lost forever. I have no iota of doubt that we shall succeed in our claim because our late client did not leave any known relative to claim it and there is no contrary claim before the bank as I write. As you both have the same last name, the bank shall have no reason whatsoever to question your claim. I know that with my active direction as an insider and with your full cooperation, you and I can legally and successfully process this transaction. I am willing to share it with you equally; that is, fifty percent for me and fifty percent for you.
Further to the above, please find here-under the necessary procedures required for the successful and legitimate realization of this transaction.
We shall employ the services of a probate lawyer that would represent our interest to ensure that everything is done legally. The lawyer shall see to the legal process of the necessary document in the probate registry, depending, of course, on what would be a requirement by Bank of Scotland. This is to ensure legal transfer of all documents to your name as the new benefactor to the deposited funds here at the Bank.
The change of beneficiary shall give you the legal status to receive the funds in your Bank account for us without being questioned by your Bank and your country's financial authorities. Upon transfer of beneficiary to your name, the solicitor shall apply to Bank of Scotland for necessary approvals from the Board of Directors for the Fund Release Order and subsequent transfer of our funds to your Bank account for us.
I also believe that it is now clear to you that the procedure we shall embark upon is entirely simple and uncomplicated. Usually the bank may require for us to process and submit letters of administration; this does not require confirmations and witnesses, but paper work to be handled by a lawyer. In a short period, the process can be completed and the huge funds transferred in your account.
I need you to kindly confirm your agreement to the steps I have detailed out. Upon the receipt of your said confirmation, I shall send the Bank of Scotland Claim form to you for you to complete and fax to the Admin Department for their routine processing and subsequent approvals to authorize transfer of the funds to your Bank account for us.
As I await your confirmation, please feel free to seek further explanation on any issue above that is not very clear to you.
I wish you all the best. Happy New Year!
Harry Hunter.
