I’m an ordinary girl; I’ve never been married and don’t have any children. Three years ago, my serious relationship ended—we’d been together for four years. He constantly put off our plans together, even though he was the one who suggested them. He demanded more and more attention and sacrifices, but wasn’t in a hurry to give anything in return. Then strange calls and messages started coming in. Once, I saw a postcard from another woman at his place. He denied everything, accusing me of being distrustful. The truth came out later: he’d been having a long-term affair on the side. In that moment, I didn’t see a monster, but a frightened boy trapped in a man’s body. He enjoyed playing at love, but he ran away from real intimacy. His infidelity was an escape from responsibility.
I don’t want to let bitterness take hold. But let it be known: not everyone who swears fidelity truly understands its essence. Sometimes, behind grand words lies only a fear of genuine emotion. I’m moving on. And I believe I’ll meet someone who builds a relationship not on words, but on actions, respect, and honesty.
Right now, I work as a social worker at a local nursing home; I’m not just a run-of-the-mill care assistant—I support the residents, help them adapt socially, assist with everyday issues, and create a comfortable atmosphere. I love my job; it brings me immense satisfaction and a sense of purpose, since I can see the results of my work and the impact it has on people’s lives and health. I completed 11th grade in high school and earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from our state university. Alongside my studies, I always devoted a lot of time to learning foreign languages; I had a high level of proficiency in school, and later I took additional courses in English and German. I’m convinced that language skills are especially important in our profession. I also took paid courses at the university in first aid and massage.
In my free time, I like to stay active: I go to the gym, swim, and enjoy reading books in the evenings—it helps me relax and unwind after a hard day’s work—and I love meeting up with my sister for a cup of coffee. I’m a creative, active, and cheerful person—an optimist. 😁
