How are you today? How are you and how are you feeling? What's new with you?
The most important thing is that I hope that you are doing well, and everything will be even better when you receive my letter, and please answer me, honestly, were you waiting for my letter? I was really waiting for your letter
As for me, I am doing well today, and finally I have some free time from work, and I can answer you in detail, and today in my letter I want to tell you about my small family, I think you will be interested?
As you know, my whole family is from Moldova. My dad was born and raised in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. My dad was a builder, and my mom was born in Tiraspol and worked as an English school teacher all her life. My parents met when my dad was on a business trip to Tiraspol. After meeting my mom, my dad decided to move to Tiraspol forever. My parents got married here. But later, in 1991, after the collapse of the USSR, my parents moved to Russia, to my current hometown of Kamyshin. In Kamyshin, my dad was helped with an apartment and a job by his colleagues from Moldova who had left for Russia earlier.
By the way, my dad was 10 years older than my mom, but despite the age difference, my parents were very happy together, and my sister and I are the fruit of their love!
As I already wrote to you, unfortunately, my dad and mom died in a fire, and a short circuit in the wiring was to blame. Dad led my sister and me out of the burning house, and when he returned to the burning house for my mom, they never returned. I don’t like to talk about this, because it was very hard for me to come to terms with the death of my parents, but life goes on, and over time I was able to cope with it, and my sister helped me with this.
After my parents died, my sister and I were left alone, and I had to raise my younger sister, otherwise she would end up in an orphanage, which I could not allow, so I became a mother to my sister.
As I already wrote to you, my sister and niece live with me. My sister is not married, her name is Tanya, she is now 29 years old. My niece is 8 years old, her name is Lisa. Unfortunately, Lisa's father was afraid of responsibility and disappeared such is the nature of some men.
My younger sister graduated from medical college and works as a nurse in an orphanage, I am very proud of her!
I also have an aunt, she is my father's sister, and she lives in Chisinau, where my father is from! I very rarely see my aunt, but we often write to each other!
I have a small family, and I love it, we help each other in everything and take care of each other as best we can! I hope you enjoyed learning about my family history, and if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them!
If you don't mind, I'll tell you a little more about myself! I like reading living books, which is a rarity these days, because people get lost in social networks, which I don't accept and don't understand!
My favorite writers are Leo Tolstoy, Sergei Yesenin, Stephen King, Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Bulgakov, Alexandre Dumas! My favorite books are Anna Karenina, The Three Musketeers, and The Master and Margarita, I've reread them many times! Have you heard of these books? I know that these books have been translated into many languages of the world, and I think you may have heard of these books. And if you have the opportunity, be sure to read them, and you won't regret it, believe me!
When was the last time you went to the movies? I love movies, and my favorite movies are: Vanilla Sky, Twilight, The Wedding Planner, Titanic, Romeo and Juliet, The Wolf of Wall Street, Three Steps Above Heaven, It Was Like Love, and of course, the immortal classics: Gone with the Wind and Some Like It Hot. I guess you've seen some of these movies?
I love classical music, pop music, and I like the violin.
My favorite music artists are Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Polina Gagarina, Sting, Rihanna, Whitney Houston, Vanessa Mae.
My favorite band is Evanescence.
As I already wrote to you, I love to cook, and as for my culinary preferences, I prefer Italian, Moldavian and Russian cuisine, I love fruits, seafood, Italian pasta and pizza!
My favorite drink is kvass, and I love okroshka with kvass. Have you heard of kvass??? It is a non-alcoholic drink similar to beer. I also like green and chamomile tea in a samovar. I don’t know if you have heard of a samovar? I love different juices and soda! I almost never drink alcohol, but on holidays I can drink a glass or two of dry red Moldavian wine. Moldavian wines are very tasty, I recommend them!
I wonder what is the most popular dish in your country? What cuisine do you prefer? What do you like to eat and drink?
I think that’s enough questions for today!
I don't know where I get this feeling from, but I know that you are a good person, although I don't know why I think so, but I know that you are good, and although we speak different languages, and our countries and cultures have many differences, I think we have found a common language. Do you agree with me?
Your life is very interesting to me, of course, there are things I don't know, and I will be very happy to learn about it from you!
Your letters help me to better imagine your world, so write to me more often and please send me photos if you can, okay?
I try to check my mail every day, but sometimes because of work I have no time to do it at all. I hope you understand and forgive me? And if I suddenly don't write to you, then it is probably because of the distance between us, my letters often do not reach you, or I just can't write to you. So, please, don't hesitate to write to me first, and I will always answer your letters, even if it takes time, okay?
I will finish the letter and wait for your answer!
In conclusion, I wish you a good day and a good mood!
Your Sofia!
