Hi Walter, I was so happy to get your new message! I missed you just as much as you missed me.
I want to tell you how I spent my holiday weekend. As I mentioned before, I went to visit my parents in the countryside.
I really needed a little break from the city's hustle and to enjoy some time closer to nature.
On Friday, my mom and I spent the whole day working in the garden.
We had so much to do — we planted tomatoes, peppers, and cabbages in the greenhouse, and also onions in the garden beds.
It felt so nice to have my hands in the soil and see how the young plants found their place in the earth.
My mom treats every plant with so much love and care, and I tried to follow her example.
After the planting, we spent some time weeding the beds. It’s not the easiest job, but working side by side with her made it really fun.
We talked, laughed, and the time passed so quickly. By evening, we could see the results of our work — neat, tidy garden beds.
After such a busy day, I decided to relax outside. The weather was beautiful — warm and sunny — so I lay down on a lounge chair in the yard.
I brought a book with me, but most of the time I just enjoyed the sunshine and listened to the birds singing.
The countryside feels so peaceful — every sound there is calming and soothing.
On Saturday, we continued working a little bit, but it wasn’t as intense. I helped my mom with small tasks and we planted flowers around the house.
In the evening, we had a small picnic right in our yard, enjoying fresh vegetables and herbs.
My dad joined us too, and the three of us had a really lovely time together.
Today, on Sunday, I took a bus back to Karaganda. Now I'm finally at home, feeling refreshed and full of new energy.
Tomorrow a new workweek starts, and I’ll be thinking about your message — I’m really looking forward to hearing from you again.
Take care, my dear, and talk to you very soon! With warm thoughts, Gulnaz😀
