Thank you for replying my e mail and letting me know how you feel about a lot of things. I will appreciate it if you tell me more about those relationships you have had and how long they lasted. I want to assure you that i am like you and i am looking for a steady relationship, someone i can call my own that will be there always to love me and care for me the same way i will love her and care for her always. Also it has been quite a while since i related with a woman on a personal basis, mainly because i started to use my work as a means of escaping the reality of having a loved one pass away, when my wife died 6 years ago, but i am really happy that we have been able to connect with each other the way we have, and i feel it's a sign of good things to come between us.
Regarding me, i wouldn't know where to start from but i'd just say, i'm a bit on the shy side and i am also a deeply religious and very spiritual person as i have realized in life that without God, we live meaningless and directionless lives. I love hiking, i do a lot of inspirational writing in my spare time, i also love swimming, especially on weekends, and sometimes watching a good movie on DVD back home after a busy day, or other times just taking a lovely evening walk, although i would rather prefer if i did those with someone special to me.
I am a single dad to my lovely young son, AJ. I have raised him single handedly, since his mother passed away 6 years ago. She suffered complications during labor, had a miscarriage and died from shock when she found out she had lost her baby. It is a long story and is about the darkest and most painful moment in my life. We shared a home in Iowa in the United States, which i still maintain, although most times i have to travel because of work. Mostly I try to be away as much as possible because sometimes I just can't stand the emptiness and the painful memories when i stay back home for too long.
To tell you about my work, i can just say i run a consulting and general engineering services firm and although i live in the United States, most of the projects handled by my firm require that i travel out of the Country, especially to Europe. Like currently, i am in a project location close to Scotland, just off the coast of Norway and have been here since almost two weeks now. Hopefully when i write again, i will explain more about my job and everything it entails. I have even considered re locating and settling down in a good Country in Europe since most times i am working here, but because i have not yet been in a relationship, i have to be sure that the woman i meet will choose the best place for us to live in.
I didn't mention too that i lived in Eindhoven during my early years when i was still a young boy, in the 70's. I only moved back to the States after i got my first job and thought it was time to go home and get to know more about my home Country.
Because of my work and since i am hardly home most times, it is quite a task raising AJ, so i've had to have him sent off to an International boarding high school, managed by American owners because i want him to get to experience interacting with people of different cultures and languages, the way i did as a kid growing up outside my home Country, and i think he's enjoying every bit of it because he's been there almost 2 years now. Usually we get to spend time together when he returns to the United States at christmas, thanksgiving and easter and i make sure that i am not handling any project at those periods, so i can spend all of the time i can with him.
There's just so much more to tell you about me and i will really love it if we can communicate more often.
