Hello!

Thank you very much for dropping me a message, I was quite anxious to
get it! I hope you forgive me being selfish in this letter and
dedicating almost the entire body to telling you about me. I hope this
gives you a general idea of my personality and helps you to decide
whether you would be interested in the girl like me - not just a girl
who looks like me. Though I already have a few questions to ask you,
too, but let's take turns, ladies first.
I am 28 years old, born in a small town in Eastern Ukraine. I have
graduated from Lugansk State Pedagogical University with a degree in
English and French (please, don't try to speak French to me as I will
just pleasantly by now and won't be able to say much except for
"Oui!"). I had to move to Lugansk when I was studying as it was quite
tiresome and costly to go back and forth a hundred km each day. It was
tough, as I am certainly a Mommy's girl, but I got used quickly. I did
work as a teacher once I graduated as I do love kids and I do get
along with them very well, which doesn't make me a good teacher, I am
afraid, as I don't have that severe side in me, so sooner or later
kids of all ages started taking me as their friend, rather than
authority figure. It was fine with me, but not as fine with the school
authorities, however that was not the main reason why I had to quit
teaching. There isn't much space for creativity in Ukrainian schools
and I found it quite dull and not very educating to be doing exactly
the same thing day after day.
Anyway, you never know when you lose, when you gain, right? I still
have my English and I had the entire world spread in front of me
figuratively speaking and lots of unpaid bills which was also
extremely stimulating, that helped me to find a job that I really
enjoy. I have always loved animals so now I find myself working a vet
hospital, I find it extremely fulfilling and I am quite happy about
where I work. Though I am by no means a doctor, but a receptionist, it
is still lots fun most of the time. It also helps me to keep my heart
in the right place.
Oooooh, are you still reading? I am a little bit too excited so I can
type too much, but I am not the kind to stop and erase, I am afraid.
Are you still reading, I must ask again?
Without boring you to death with the finest details, I would like to
add a few brushes to my dim portrait. I am single, have never been
married, though had been seriously involved before. I am optimistic,
easy-going, sentimental (yes, the kind that would embarass you
whipping at the movie theater or a friend's wedding!), I am a joker,
but not when it comes to feelings. It's just that when you are
smiling, the world goes brighter and I am not the kind to complain for
hours anyway. I LOVE music, whatever I do, the music stays on. I am
the 90s type (funny thing, most people look at me and think that I am
some jazz lover. NO!), I am a very good cook (and if I do waste some
food once in a while, you don't have to know).
That's all for the first time! I do hope that you reply and when you
do, can you please fill in some gaps for me too? For instance, seeking
a soulmate outside your own country, do you expect any serious
cultural differences? Are you the introvert or an extravert? Do you
like going out or prefer to spend quality time at home?
I am also keeping my fingers crossed that you enclose some pictures of
you!
Have a nice day and write soon!                             Ôàéë E:\Files\Photos\Olga\16.jpg íå íàéäåí
Best regards, Olya.

Hello, dear Fine and Nice Man!

Can you please let me know your name or is it a big secret? Your
letter was unsigned.
First of all, let me thank you very much for writing me such a sincere
and informative message and for the very  nice pictures! One thing I
didn't understand was if you sent me the pictures of surrounding where
you work or if you are an artist and sent me your own works? I liked
them very much, especially that imaginary hole in the wall through
which one could see the sea. That was awesome!
I am very sorry to hear about your sad past experience, but as the
sayings go "Good things happen to those who wait" and "The night is
the darkest before the dawn", so I am glad you chose to be positive
about your future and try to change your life instead of simply
sitting around and waiting for it to happen. At least, I can relate
to this attitude very easily!
What do you find fun, what turns you on and off when it comes to people,
not necessarily girls, what kind of humor you like, what you watch,
what you listen to, what are your do's and dont's. Smiley What exactly do
you do at the supermarket? Do you like it or is it just a way to pay
the bills?
I am very curious to know about your friend and his girlfriend. How
long did they correspond? How long have they been together by now?
Well, nothing much has happened since you last heard from me. Daily
routine, which doesn't really bother all that much, my routine is
hardly the kind of routine that comes to your mind when you hear that
word. Doing a hundred different things every day can sometimes be
quite exhausting, but my working days are hardly ever dull. We have to
think positively, right?
I can't help sighing sending glances to the wall calendar that shows
beach and palms, and ocean and my vivid imagination immediately adds a
hammock, a big hat and huge sunglasses and me just laying there
feeling the soft breeze with my entire body... Too bad it was a few
years since I last had the chance to go to the seaside and it
certainly had no palms or the ocean, but hey!!! Who says that we are
not supposed to enjoy what we've got while the dreams shouldn't be
limited by any rational part?
When you think of dreams, what comes to your mind? I realize that this
could be a personal question, so please, don't answer if you are
uncomfortable, while I surely hope you are...
I ask lots of strange questions, I am sorry, I just don't seem to be
able to help it. What kind of music associates with ultimate happiness
in your mind?? "Kiss me" is that kind of song for me, I think the
group is called "Sixpence none the richer", I have no idea if they got
other songs. Of course, they do, I am just persuaded that none of them
comes close to this. It's like "Aerosmith" and "I could stay awake
just to hear you breeaaaathing..." Yes, you seem to have caught me in
a romantic mood. Romance is not limited to red roses and candlelit
dinners, don't you think? I have NEVER had a candlelit dinner I am
ashamed to admit. But it's never too late.
When you court a girl do you prefer the movie like things that are
sure to impress or think of something of your own, or do you just go
with the flow and let nice things happen on its own? Have you ever
felt the urge to speed things up and had to restrain yourself? Do you
actually act on impulse or like think first and then proceed to
acting?
Let me know if I ask too many questions. I am just so curious about
you, I can't help it. Smiley
Please, write me soon and send me more pictures of yourself if you
have any!

Regards, Olya.

Dear Markus!

It was really nice to hear from you even though I was a little bit
disappointed as you answered none of the questions I asked you. Were
you too busy to do that or did they just go unnoticed?
What kind of work do you do that keeps you so busy in the morning and
gives you a chance to relax afterwards? Do you like your work?
I like working as a receptionist. Actually, I do a little more than
that, but I get to be around animals and people who love them very
much, which is a very good atmosphere to work in and I consider that
very important. I make appointments for the doctors, give our
patients' master a call when they need to show up for a check up, etc.
I can't even describe my daily routine as some days are very busy,
some are slow, and I don't get a lunch break at a fixed time. Once we
have no appointment I can rest a bit. I am afraid I am just not very
ambitious when it comes to work. Smiley Girls nowdays got that ambition
virus and I actually consider that pretty good, as my parents'
generation was a lot more traditional - man works, woman works and
takes care of the house and kids. A lot of women didn't and don't work
if their husband is capable of supporting of the family. I am not even
sure what my attitude towards this is. I mean, it might be lovely to
stay home and take care of it and to raise your kids yourself instead
of hiring a nanny and let her do the job, but on the other hand, when
you are good at housekeeping, you don't spend entire days cleaning and
cooking unless you are a clean freak and then life can get pretty
dull. One of my friends says that she could never totally depend upon
someone and there is truth in her opinion as well as life is life and
sometimes it gives us unpleasant surprises. Anyway, I like work and I
am still undecided on what I would do given a choice. What is your
view of a man's and woman's role in a family? Do you stick to
traditional or modern views upon this? Would you want your wife to
work or stay home and make it a cozy place for the entire family to
want to come back there? I hope to hear from you soon! By the way,
there is no need to rush, of course, so surely we need to get to know
each other before we could even think about anything else!
Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

Hugs, Olya.

P.S. My picture was taken at work with one of our patients.

Dear Markus!

Thanks a lot for your message and for the picture, though you have
already sent me that one.
Before I proceed, I would like to ask you one thing - is there a
reason for you to not answer my questions? I just wonder whether you
simply miss them or whether you find them annoying? I have asked you a
quite important question in my letter and you didn't even mention it
in your reply, so I am a bit lost.
You wrote that you are done with your optic shop? What are you going
to do instead? Have you thought of it already or are you going to rest
and enjoy yourself?
I somehow managed to get home early yesterday, I don't know who I
should thank for unlocking the door to my apartment at 7pm, but
whoever it is - thank you! It is very hot outside and I live on the
8th floor, so as you can imagine or maybe you remember it from the
school course of physics, that the hot air goes up and yes, my
apartment felt like sauna, but lucky me, that we had a really strong
wind, so I opened all the windows that I had and could finally breath.
Took a cool shower immediately and enjoyed myself on the couch with a
huge plate of delicious stuff that I didn't even heat and a tabloid to
entertain myself with. I can't go to bed early, because even if I feel
extremely tired I just can't fall asleep. Maybe it was because I
overate a little, but I just found it hard to blink and keep my eyes
open, so I went straight to bed and it felt divine! It is amazing how
the most common little things can make you sooooooooo happy! Do you
know what I mean? I am absolutely sure that you are the kind to
appreciate that sort of things as well. I can bet on that!
Today is kind of slow at work, which is a pity because I feel the
energy to make the rivers run backwords! Needless to say that as soon
as I lose some energy, there will be piles of papers to fill in and a
the longest list of calls to make. But that's life and while you wait
for good things to happen, you have to appreciate what you have got.
Please, write me soon and feel free to ask me any questions you might
have!

Regards, Olya.
